Metric Live at the Trocadero in Philly

Metric decided to end their US tour last night June 19, 2009 at the Trocadero in Philadelphia. For the band, future shows will include a Canadian tour and presentations in Australia before the end of the year. Philly was certainly waiting for them and it was no surprise to see a sold-out crowd at The Trocadero, making their choice to end their US tour here a good call.

Emily Haines, whose mom grew up in Philly, showed clear connection to the crowd, continuously chatting, dancing, making jokes and referring to local places like the First Unitarian Church. Her performance as usual was dynamic and full of energy. She is not only extremely hot and sexy (hahaha, my opinion) but also has a great voice and had no problem engaging the crowd at the Trocadero on every song. The playlist included most of their new CD Fantasies along with classic tunes from Grow up and Blow Away and Live it out.

Judge for yourselves. What follows is a big chunk of the entire concert recorded in good quality and posted in youtube this morning...awesome...(God knows what we would do without youtubers, thanks wojo4hitz2!!)
